Custom Water Tank – CAD Assembly & Gas Strut Mechanism

Designed to meet the client’s specified capacity and inlet/outlet requirements, this project involved modelling a bespoke water tank and supporting steel frame. I also developed a gas strut-assisted hinged lid to improve ease of access for operation and maintenance, calculating the opening angles and required strut loads to achieve the desired movement and support. The result was a practical, purpose-designed assembly combining structural CAD modelling with mechanical mechanism design.
